He is the founder of China modern potato processing industry and enjoys a good reputation.He is not only the leader in the first case of“Anti-dumping and Anti-subsidy” on Chinese agricultural products, but also the pioneer of China starch industry development.He directed the revision of theNational Standard on Potato Starch (GB8884-2007) and promoted the implementation of many supporting policies on potato industry, making an outstanding contribution to the development of potato starch industry.He also directed the compilation of theDevelopment Planning of Potato Processing Industry (2010-2015) which was issued and distributed by theMinistry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Agriculture.All of these have greatly upgraded China’s potatoindustrialization and played a positive role in boosting the formation of advantage industries, speeding up our country to become a powerful potato country from a big potato production one.
